The 2015 football season will be Mark Williams' fourth season as Head Football Coach at Gallatin High School and his 15th year overall as a coach. Coach Williams is a 1995 graduate of Shelbyville Central High School where he played football, baseball, and wrestled. During his time as a Shelbyville Golden Eagle, he helped the football team to a 38-8 record.
In 1995, Coach Williams continued his career at Tennessee Technological University where he was be a four-year starter at offensive guard. Coach Williams received All-OVC honors in 1998 and 1999. Coach Williams graduated from Tennessee Teach in the spring of 2000.
In the fall of 2000, he returned to teach and coach at Shelbyville Central High School, where he served as the offensive and defensive line coach until the spring of 2002. In the Fall of 2002, Coach Williams accepted a job under Coach Robert Lassiter as the offensive line coach. He served in that position until 2005. Coach Williams became the Offensive Coordinator at Blackman High School in 2005 and served until 2008. He became the Offensive Coordinator at Smyrna High School in 2008, where he helped coach the Bulldogs to a State Runner-Up in 2010.
In 2011, Coach Williams returned to Gallatin High School as the Offensive Coordinator under Coach Robert Lassiter. In 2012, Coach Williams became the Head Football Coach for the Green Wave.
Coach Williams has been married to Stephnie Williams for 10 years, and they have two children, Breck (8) and Kylie (6). They are members of Rehoboth United Methodist Church.

Randall Silcox is a 1993 graduate of Gallatin High School. Coach Silcox began his football career at Gallatin High School under the watchful eye of his Head Freshmen Coach Mark Wilson. He would then go on to play the next three years under TSSAA Hall of Fame Coach Calvin Short. While participating in Varsity football, Coach Silcox was a member of three District 9-AAA Championships. During this time, the Green Wave were the 1991 State Runner -Up, with a record of 14-1 and won the 1992 State Championship with a record of 15-0.
After graduating High School, Coach Silcox attended Lambuth University. While pursuing an undergraduate degree in Health and Physical Education, Coach Silcox served as the Historian for the Education Department, was a member of FCA, and participated in Varsity Football. While playing football at Lambuth, Coach Silcox was an All Mid-South Offensive guard. During his playing career at Lambuth University, the Eagles won three consecutive Mid-South Conference Championships, appeared in two National playoff semifinal games as well as one playoff appearance reaching the quarterfinals. After his senior year, Coach Silcox played in the All-American All-Star game in Minneapolis, MN. Coach Silcox graduated from Lambuth in 1998, and then went on to serve as the running backs coach for Lambuth University.
Coach Silcox's first teaching duties came in the fall of 1998 at Munford Middle School where he taught 7th grade Math, World Geography, and Tennessee History. From 1999-2001, Coach Silcox taught K-8 PE, served as the Middle School Athletic Director, Middle School Head Softball coach, Middle School Boys Basketball coach, and the varsity offensive/defensive line coach at Saint Benedict at Auburndale School. Coach Silcox was later promoted to the Varsity Defensive Coordinator for the Saint Benedict at Auburndale Eagles. Coach Silcox next became the offensive/defensive line coach at Humbolt High School. He spent two years as the Alternative School Director. After two years in these roles, Coach Silcox became the Offensive Coordinator at Gibson County High School. In 2007, Coach Silcox was offered the opportunity to come back to Gallatin High School to teach Wellness and coach Varsity Football as the Offensive Line Coach for the Green Wave. Coach Silcox currently serves as a Wellness teacher, Assistant Varsity Football coach as well as the Head Softball Coach for GHS. Coach Silcox has been married to Courtney Silcox for 15 years. They have three children, Brady (14), Ally (11), and Emma Belle (born May 27, 2015).

John Birdwell, Assistant Coach
John Birdwell is a 1992 graduate of Gallatin High School. Coach Birdwell played on the 1989 Sate Champion, 1990 District Champion, and 1991 State Runner-Up Teams. While playing for the Green Wave, Coach Birdwell and his teammates amassed a 38-4 record. Coach Birdwell continued his education and graduated from MTSU.
Coach Birdwell served as the Defensive Coordinator at Rucker Stewart Middle School from 1998-2002 and 2011-2012. Coach Birdwell joined the GHS coaching staff in 2012 as a Freshman assistant. In 2013, he became the Varsity defensive line coach. He is now currently the varsity inside linebackers coach.
Coach Birdwell is married to Joanna Hutchins Birdwell who is a 1993 graduate of Gallatin High School. They have two children, John Austin and Jordan. John Austin will be a sophomore in the fall of 2015 at GHS and Jordan will be entering the 6th grade.
